After having played for 24 minutes, Antis Voitkāns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK LOHATRONI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antis Voitkāns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Pavilonis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of play. FK LOHATRONI's Hugo Pavilonis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of play. Antis Voitkāns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 played minutes FK LOHATRONI got a freekick which was hit by Reinis Renhofs. After 36 played minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hugo Pavilonis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. After a defensive mix-up in FK LOHATRONI's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Pavilonis came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bērtulis Pupurs scored 1-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antis Voitkāns was the one to do the kick off. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Hugo Pavilonis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Pavilonis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 56th minute. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristaps Boraks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Reinis Renhofs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bērtulis Pupurs in the 76th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, FK LOHATRONI's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Hugo Pavilonis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antis Voitkāns in the 81st minute of play. Hugo Pavilonis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 87 minute of play. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Hugo Pavilonis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Antis Voitkāns blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save.
