Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) SJÖARED's Egon Pihlwall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 6th minute of play. In the 14th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egon Pihlwall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Carballal during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruguay! When Roger Stephansson fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Pihlwall having to interfere. When Alberto Gisbert came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Gisbert couldn't finish the play. Alberto Gisbert's late challenge caught a SJÖARED's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. Egon Pihlwall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 96th minute of play. Uruguay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
