Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Roni Coryn kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Roni Coryn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roni Coryn, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roni Coryn in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Leerbels in the 14th minute of play. Leo Dauwen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnoud Van Gestel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Bacardi FC's Leo Dauwen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Bacardi FC from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Bacardi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Leo Dauwen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustín Saelices who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Leo Dauwen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daniel Zorita was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Arias during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Bacardi FC a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Roni Coryn, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 0-1. If Charlie Vercalsteren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Bacardi FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Roni Coryn got free with Julio Vera in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leo Dauwen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Leo Dauwen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bacardi FC made a substitution. Cornelis Rondas replaced Roy Voet. Bacardi FC were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bob Leerbels took the corner. After taking down the ball on Bacardi FC's corner Arnoud Van Gestel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roni Coryn in the 61st minute of play. Leo Dauwen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of the match. Leo Dauwen came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Arnoud Van Gestel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Karel Christiaens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Bacardi FC were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Charlie Vercalsteren took the corner. Karel Christiaens made a great header on Bacardi FC's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. 93 minutes into the match, Charlie Vercalsteren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charlie Vercalsteren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Chants of Bacardi FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ecuador had held the ball for most of the match.
