Unai Herrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Marcos Cotilla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 15 minutes, Unai Herrera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paralia Athens and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Unai Herrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 17th minute of play. Virgil Olariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 20 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Miralles in the 27th minute of play. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. Jose Carita hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Chirculescu in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Paralia Athens booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Ros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panama's Abraham Alguacil couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Paralia Athens. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonard Chirculescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Unai Herrera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Unai Herrera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 57 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Chirculescu came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Miguel Miralles came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Miralles couldn't finish the play. Miguel Miralles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgil Olariu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, Unai Herrera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dylan Sarmiento hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Chirculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a rather tough play, Panama's Dylan Sarmiento got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Paralia Athens players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
