Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Henning Fjordskov took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Fillip Horsdam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mira Bobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Henning Fjordskov notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henning Fjordskov, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play forced The Blues's goalkeeper Mira Bobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in The Blues's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mira Bobo came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mira Bobo saved The Blues from getting behind. In the 30th match minute, The Blues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorkild Lindekær to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Fjordskov in the 35th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mira Bobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Blues's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 57th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. The Blues's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of The Blues booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mira Bobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, The Blues's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Mira Bobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 played minutes The Blues got a freekick which was hit by Thorkild Lindekær. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mira Bobo having to interfere. Thorkild Lindekær scored 2-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Mira Bobo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Blues had won after a very even match.
