Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Decathlon Dudes's Henrik Larsson got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute, one of Decathlon Dudes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Decathlon Dudes. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Peru. Luz Tejedor stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tadej Pogačar. 0-1. Tadej Pogačar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 22nd minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Tadej Pogačar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The corner led to Peru's Eliseo Mina getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Tadej Pogačar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadej Pogačar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrik Larsson to make the kick off. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Larsson in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rdth minute of the game Henrik Larsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Henrik Larsson sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. Tadej Pogačar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrik Larsson in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tadej Pogačar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 66th minute. Anthon Melin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Decathlon Dudes got a freekick which was hit by Marinus Doren. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marinus Doren charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marinus Doren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marinus Doren hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadej Pogačar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Decathlon Dudes's goalkeeper Tadej Pogačar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. After a rather tough play, Decathlon Dudes's Karsten Schoonderwoerd got a free kick in the 87th minute. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 90th minute of the match, Rafael Gallo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tadej Pogačar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 93 minutes in the game Eliseo Alcocer did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Joaquin Prats. In the 96th minute, Costin Moisil made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The Decathlon Dudes support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
