San Marino İdman Yurdu's Ahmet Necdet Secavend played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Marino İdman Yurdu's goalkeeper Ahmet Necdet Secavend, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erberk Zülfikar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Necdet Secavend narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ahmet Necdet Secavend tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ahmet Necdet Secavend. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serter Usal in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ahmet Necdet Secavend. Ahmet Necdet Secavend yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Juan Sebastián Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ahmet Necdet Secavend tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erberk Zülfikar in the 65th minute of play. Ahmet Necdet Secavend made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Keramettin İshak hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ahmet Necdet Secavend was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Necdet Secavend narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erberk Zülfikar in the 75th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. San Marino İdman Yurdu's Ahmet Necdet Secavend tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ahmet Necdet Secavend made a huge save. Felix Montenegro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Serter Usal's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serter Usal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, San Marino İdman Yurdu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serter Usal to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Keramettin İshak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
