Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The Blues's Henning Fjordskov started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in The Blues's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mira Bobo came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mira Bobo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. André Hurdle hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Andre Gedsted kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Mira Bobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of The Blues's Mira Bobo. Mira Bobo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mira Bobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, The Blues's Mira Bobo got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mira Bobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mira Bobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Derya Acabey during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Derya Acabey kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Henning Fjordskov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Mira Bobo in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Henning Fjordskov managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Blues's supporters rose to their feet, but Henning Fjordskov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mira Bobo. That made the score 0-2 after 86 minutes of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Mira Bobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Henning Fjordskov came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador played a much better game than The Blues and deserved their victory. The The Blues players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
