The Samba Fotboll U21 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivar Sjödin should have stopped the shot. Tomas Berganza took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivar Sjödin. After 13 played minutes Samba Fotboll U21 got a freekick which was hit by Uno Åberg. In the 14th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Sjödin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Tomas Berganza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Ivar Sjödin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samba Fotboll U21's goalkeeper Ivar Sjödin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25thth minute of the game Miguel Miralles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samba Fotboll U21's Ivar Sjödin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Samba Fotboll U21's Ivar Sjödin. Ivar Sjödin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivar Sjödin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 47 played minutes Samba Fotboll U21 got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Unesson. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.
The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivar Sjödin. Tomas Berganza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. After a rather tough play, Samba Fotboll U21's Gösta Sjö got a free kick in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Samba Fotboll U21's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Ivar Sjödin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Panama's Alex Cambeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivar Sjödin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. If Miguel Miralles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 77th minute of play forced Samba Fotboll U21's goalkeeper Ivar Sjödin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes, Gösta Sjö mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samba Fotboll U21 and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Samba Fotboll U21 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Panama were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
