Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 石克枫 in the 7th minute of play. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Eliu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Veniamin Chatziantoniou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard shot 23 in the game by Nalo Bermejo from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. In the 25th minute, Mustafa Namık Tükelalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Eliu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After 39 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Eliu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felix Montes hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match.

Humberto Eliu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Eliu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM-'s Humberto Eliu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM- from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Humberto Eliu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 81st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Humberto Eliu quite easily take care of the ball. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM-'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. With a little luck, FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM-'s Humberto Eliu got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM- fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
