FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM-'s Humberto Eliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 8th minute of play. After having played for 10 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nalo Bermejo in the 14th minute. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Nalo Bermejo sent off a good shot on target. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM-'s goalkeeper Humberto Eliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Veniamin Chatziantoniou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM-! Humberto Eliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-2.

When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Humberto Eliu to make any attempt to save it. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Humberto Eliu could save by the left post. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Eliu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Joel Gaona took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Humberto Eliu to make any attempt to save it. After 73 minutes of play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Eliu was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM-'s Humberto Eliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 76th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nalo Bermejo in the 77th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Humberto Eliu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 92nd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Eliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Dragonii BaiaMare -MM-'s zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Eliu came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
