Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rosendo Soporta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play forced Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s goalkeeper Rosendo Soporta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Agustín Saelices got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rosendo Soporta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Omero Remolina fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s protests and gave Omero Remolina a yellow card for diving instead. Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s Rosendo Soporta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s Eudoxio Mostaza got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play forced Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s goalkeeper Rosendo Soporta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omero Remolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Rosendo Soporta. Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 41 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rosendo Soporta. Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Rosendo Soporta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lluciano Pujals in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Omero Remolina came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play forced Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s goalkeeper Rosendo Soporta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Rosendo Soporta in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rosendo Soporta. Rosendo Soporta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Rosendo Soporta made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rosendo Soporta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s goalkeeper Rosendo Soporta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s Xefe Illan got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Rosendo Soporta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 92nd minute of play. Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s Rosendo Soporta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 94th minute of play. Cristian Sancho was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 95th minute.
