The supporters of Paraguay booed when SV Wissenkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wouter Kluivert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, SV Wissenkerke's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Kenneth van der Leegte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ralph Cramer hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 13th minute of the game was made by Gerjan Staarman with Wouter Kluivert as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 13 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Bombarda came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenneth van der Leegte came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Hector Covarrubias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenneth van der Leegte. SV Wissenkerke's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Covarrubias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Kenneth van der Leegte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ralph Cramer hit a great ball. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerjan Staarman in the 37th minute of the match. Paraguay's Xavier Zoido quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Stef Mol, made in the 43rd minute of the game. SV Wissenkerke's Kenneth van der Leegte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 47th minute of play. Primitivo Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Mariano Bombarda hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 57th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Prats to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 60th minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Kenneth van der Leegte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Ralph Cramer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kenneth van der Leegte but with some difficulty. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Hector Covarrubias got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 75th minute, Frits van Loo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes in the game, Jaime Pardo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 87th match minute, SV Wissenkerke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izaak Kluivert to maneuver through the defense. Gerjan Staarman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of SV Wissenkerke booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Prats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerjan Staarman in the 93rd minute of play. Paraguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
