Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Stef Mol came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the SV Wissenkerke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stef Mol couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute, Mariano Bombarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SV Wissenkerke's Kenneth van der Leegte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the SV Wissenkerke defense, Eliseo Noboa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kenneth van der Leegte. The SV Wissenkerke fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kenneth van der Leegte should have stopped the shot. The supporters of SV Wissenkerke booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Bombarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Hofland kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gerjan Staarman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. In the 27th minute, Eliseo Noboa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kenneth van der Leegte was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 31st match minute, SV Wissenkerke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Bombarda to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mariano Bombarda during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mariano Bombarda kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Axel Tasis scored 1-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenneth van der Leegte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 42 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. In the 44th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Wouter Kluivert tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerjan Staarman to make the kick off. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Bombarda went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Kenneth van der Leegte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Alcocer, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, SV Wissenkerke's Marco Hofland got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 62 minutes, Gerjan Staarman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Wissenkerke and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Gerjan Staarman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerjan Staarman in the 71st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Gerjan Staarman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Gerjan Staarman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, SV Wissenkerke's Frits van Loo got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 80 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the SV Wissenkerke players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Eliseo Noboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Klaas Jan Hellemons hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
