Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Garibaldo Quijana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Veremundo Caballero kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
