Slaytanic Army's Alfred Chludzinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play. In the 8th minute Lis Przecherka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Lis Przecherka came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfred Chludzinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alfred Chludzinski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Chludzinski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Slaytanic Army's goalie and right to Felix Montenegro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Slaytanic Army's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erwin Rommel was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Errikos Delioridis in the 53rd minute of the match. After 54 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tymoteusz Drab who took care of the corner kick. In the 60th match minute, Slaytanic Army was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lis Przecherka to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Chludzinski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Errikos Delioridis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute Slaytanic Army were awarded a corner. Tymoteusz Drab went to the cornerflag to take it. Iwo Adamski made a great header on Slaytanic Army's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. 79 minutes into the match, Slaytanic Army's goalkeeper Alfred Chludzinski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Erwin Rommel came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute Lis Przecherka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Slaytanic Army.
