Bjørn Martensen ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walentin Julskov, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Egernføde Boldklub's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Vilfred Degener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Vilfred Degener didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Thiago Pliego was a little too slow when Walentin Julskov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 18 minutes Egernføde Boldklub's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vilfred Degener in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kenney Wilhelm succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 21st playminute. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Vilfred Degener didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Orlando Casaus succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Egernføde Boldklub's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Mariano Lacasa scored to the left of an out of position Vilfred Degener, making the score, 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Egernføde Boldklub's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilfred Degener came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jose Manzanedo fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chile's protests and gave Jose Manzanedo a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Vilfred Degener in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, Mariano Lacasa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vilfred Degener. The goal made the score 2-3. Mariano Lacasa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Walentin Julskov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Chile booed when Egernføde Boldklub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Kem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilfred Degener read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa scored 2-4 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vilfred Degener, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chile played a much better game than Egernføde Boldklub and deserved their victory. The Egernføde Boldklub players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
