After a defensive mix-up in Qatar Dust Kickers's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jussef Zemmamouche came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was a well-played corner which Mohammed Matoub managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 15th play minutes Soltani Drid shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. 18 minutes into the game, Soltani Drid recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Soltani Drid showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jussef Zemmamouche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdelhamid Reda Madouni charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdelhamid Reda Madouni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Qatar Dust Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdelhamid Reda Madouni to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilles Tahar got free with Julio Vera in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jussef Zemmamouche. Qatar Dust Kickers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Mohammed Matoub recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Soltani Drid who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Soltani Drid in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 37th minute of play forced Qatar Dust Kickers's goalkeeper Jussef Zemmamouche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Qatar Dust Kickers's Jussef Ghozali got a free kick in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Gilles Tahar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Qatar Dust Kickers's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilles Tahar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mohammed Matoub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Abdellah Kader came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Qatar Dust Kickers's protests and gave Hocine Bentaala a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hocine Bentaala in the 78th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Qatar Dust Kickers's Jussef Zemmamouche got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Hocine Bentaala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot.
