The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Dong Zhen Song was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Tomas Illescas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Illescas really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Cabezones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Oso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dong Zhen Song. Cabezones's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute of the match Anacleto Paublo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Oso, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cabezones fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
