Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when AkInCı's Seyfullah Kıncal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Görkem Melih. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mehmet Ali Gök came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the AkInCı fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Ali Gök couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Ali Gök in the 15th minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seyfullah Kıncal in the 18th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Görkem Melih having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AkInCı's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Görkem Melih came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play forced AkInCı's goalkeeper Görkem Melih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Vassilis Kopsinis came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on AkInCı's corner Vassilis Kopsinis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind AkInCı's goalkeeper Görkem Melih, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vassilis Kopsinis's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vassilis Kopsinis in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, AkInCı was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dmitriy Monastyrev to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in AkInCı's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Görkem Melih came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Görkem Melih having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AkInCı.
