Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelino Nuxila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, 1947 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Marcelino Nuxila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Nuxila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Goren Baños could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Lautaro Mancebo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelino Nuxila was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelino Nuxila. That made the score 0-3 after 56 minutes of play. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Nuxila having to interfere. Oscar Godoi hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, 1947 FC's goalkeeper Marcelino Nuxila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. In the 71st minute, Lautaro Mancebo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcelino Nuxila. The goal made the score 0-4. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Marcelino Nuxila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Ariel Bonachea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92ndth minute of the game Ariel Bonachea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
