Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Peres in the 6th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Peres in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 9th match minute, De Gulden Draak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Rülke to maneuver through the defense. After 10 minutes, Pablo Ebner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Gulden Draak and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute, Pablo Ebner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 18th play minutes Manuel Peres shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. 22 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas. Siim Kikas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Peres in the 25th minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Siim Kikas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 34 minutes into the match, Manuel Peres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Peres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After having played for 36 minutes, Erwin Backes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Gulden Draak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erwin Backes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Manuel Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Siim Kikas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Manuel Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Peres was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, De Gulden Draak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Ebner to maneuver through the defense. De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save De Gulden Draak from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. De Gulden Draak's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erwin Backes in the 58th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Siim Kikas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Siim Kikas made a huge save. Siim Kikas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 81st minute of the match. Gert Porsche kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Peres's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Siim Kikas made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
