After 51 minutes, Çağatay Kuyas made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Çağatay Kuyas in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aurelian Panin. That made the score 2-3 after 73 minutes of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Aurelian Panin in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 89 minutes Gölcükspor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick.
