Donato Ali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Opilano, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Lucas Eladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Ali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramiro Lano in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Ali saved Schuster from getting behind. Donato Ali made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Ramiro Lano sent off a good shot on target. Cornelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Musko Cuevas in the 18th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ramiro Lano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Donato Ali. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. With his leg Donato Ali managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Racing Club's Ramiro Lano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cornelio Cordearo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Bezerra's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 41st minute of the match, Dario Opilano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Donato Ali saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Schuster's Flavio Miconi got a free kick in the 45th minute. Racing Club's Epifanio Txomin was substituted for Dario Opilano. A collision led to Schuster getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Flavio Miconi hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Bezerra was the one to do the kick off. Donato Ali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Lano in the 54th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Schuster got a freekick which was hit by 麦坤竞. 74 minutes into the match, Racing Club's Epifanio Txomin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato Ali narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute of the match Racing Club got a corner. Schuster's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Nevada ran over to the corner to take the kick. Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Bezerra in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Musko Cuevas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Schuster's Mauro Bezerra got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Epifanio Txomin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Epifanio Txomin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Ali breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miroslaw Jajecznica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Ali having to interfere.
