Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaime Pardo started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Hector Covarrubias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Covarrubias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 10 minutes, Howard Walters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Howard Walters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Howard Walters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 played minutes ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ got a freekick which was hit by Damion Stride. In the 15th minute of the match Jaime Pardo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alan Tetley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Damion Stride was shown his second yellow card after 16 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 19 minutes, Vincent Dry mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Vincent Dry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th match minute, ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dom Kyle to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Alan Tetley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marty Fearns hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's Wally Scorfield got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Primitivo Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Escribano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alan Tetley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Paraguay booed when ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Dry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Howard Walters's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Howard Walters helped the player get up and apologised. 46 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's Alan Tetley. Alan Tetley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Howard Walters to strike the kick off in the second half. Marty Fearns kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Marty Fearns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marty Fearns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Owen Bishop made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paraguay's Alan Campos. 70 minutes into the match, ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Alan Tetley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Alan Campos got a free kick in the 78th minute. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Alan Tetley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. The ᗩᑎᗩᕼᗴᎥᗰ ᗪᑌᑕᛕᔕ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Paraguay's performance. The match ended with a win for Paraguay.
