Benedicto Maule made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jorge Magrina hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedicto Maule breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when El Salvador's Moises Fernandino fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Jesus Carvallo made in the 22nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Abram Luque immediately put the ball in play. Benedicto Maule showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Tamayo in the 25th minute of the match. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. Mateo Leguizamo made in the 32nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Moises Fernandino however managed to control. The audience was convinced that Moises Fernandino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedicto Maule was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, Moises Fernandino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedicto Maule. Ψ virgen Ψ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moises Fernandino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ψ virgen Ψ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Salvador the free kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nemesio Dolfos to make the kick off. Ψ virgen Ψ's Aggelos Troglis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Valentino Ferrant in the 53 minute of the game. After 57 played minutes Ψ virgen Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Benino. A throw-in in the 71st minute of the game was made by Jorge Magrina with Abram Luque as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino managed to work through Ψ virgen Ψ's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Moises Fernandino dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Moises Fernandino took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Benedicto Maule to make any attempt to save it. The throw-in from Luis Rubio in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ψ virgen Ψ's Aggelos Troglis. Ψ virgen Ψ's attentive Lucio Domenec managed to snatch the ball when Mateo Leguizamo made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. If Abram Luque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Maule made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Jorge Magrina sent off a good shot on target. Mateo Leguizamo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. El Salvador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
