Romeu Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of the match. Wilian Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Planet Caravan's Romeu Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Planet Caravan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Romeu Marques despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hudson dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Planet Caravan's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Romeu Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Marques having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto Queirós in the 45th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Gilvan Quirino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bebeto Queirós to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Planet Caravan's goalkeeper Romeu Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 60th minute Hudson dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bebeto Queirós who took care of the corner kick. In the 78th match minute, Planet Caravan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes Planet Caravan got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Vinhas. In the 91st minute, Bebeto Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Dedê Vinhas charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dedê Vinhas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Planet Caravan getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Dedê Vinhas hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Marques having to interfere. Planet Caravan succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
