With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kjell Dahlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Åke Malmberg came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of FC Bosses Bodega booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 38th minute. Kjell Dahlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 41st minute of the match. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Dahlberg having to interfere. After 47 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gösta Mårtensson was the one to do the kick off. After 59 minutes, Jesus Carvallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the FC Bosses Bodega players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bosses Bodega's Torsten Kock. But to his dismay, Torsten Kock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Kock, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With a little luck, FC Bosses Bodega's Kjell Dahlberg got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Bosses Bodega's Charlie Håkansson got a free kick in the 69th minute. FC Bosses Bodega's Edgar Anundsson was substituted for Sven-Åke Malmberg. Moises Fernandino might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kjell Dahlberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Fernandino ran back to his position shaking his head. Malte Samuelsson charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The long shot by Mateo Leguizamo in the 87th minute really tested Kjell Dahlberg's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Edgar Anundsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. Edgar Anundsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Torsten Kock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Salvador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC Bosses Bodega had won, even though El Salvador had held more of the ball.
