Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donovan Burris in the 14th managed to get into a good position. Donovan Burris was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Štitáre's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Donovan Burris got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to FC Štitáre getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Viktor Lalkovič hit a great ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Štitáre. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes, Viktor Lalkovič mouthed his way into the referee's book. The supporters of FC Štitáre booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Devan Eiø could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donovan Burris. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Agustin Geleberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Agustin Geleberto in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devan Eiø, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Agustin Geleberto made a huge save. Cristian Sancho was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 61 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Devan Eiø came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Agustin Geleberto came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. FC Štitáre's Agustin Geleberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Štitáre from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute, Viktor Lalkovič hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Štitáre's Agustin Geleberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save FC Štitáre from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Agustin Geleberto in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donovan Burris scored 1-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Matias Urritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, FC Štitáre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Lalkovič to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Geleberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
