Bora Han Öğün fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Gilbert Harendarski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AtletikEdirne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 47th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ünal Akbel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AtletikEdirne's Ünal Akbel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save AtletikEdirne from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ünal Akbel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 91st match minute, AtletikEdirne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Harendarski to maneuver through the defense.
