The supporters of Peru booed when Hala Madrid Iraki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Åberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Peru's Alonso Berganza to fire away a dangerous shot which Ruben Montez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mark Åberg made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which André Kuipers however managed to control. In the 21st minute of the game Mark Åberg made a throw-in which Aquilino Damásio played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 26th minute of play forced Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goalkeeper Ruben Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ruben Montez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Claes Fender lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Rolando Noboa. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 51st minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Valentin Axelsson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Ruben Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 54th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the game Alonso Berganza made a throw-in which Moises Gayoso played forward. 63 minutes into the match, Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ruben Montez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Ruben Montez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Hala Madrid Iraki FC from getting a goal against them. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hala Madrid Iraki FC. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Ruben Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 97th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hala Madrid Iraki FC had won after a very even match.
