In the 23rd minute, Sakálok's Eike Hörtnagel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, Sakálok's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Béla Hudák reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Béla Hudák saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Eike Hörtnagel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Béla Hudák took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sakálok's Béla Hudák played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Béla Hudák was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caspar Motter, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caspar Motter in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Federico Viñe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sakálok made a substitution. Anfilogino Contaldi replaced Eike Hörtnagel. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Sakálok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Viñe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Trulsson kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Sakálok's Károly Kutasi was substituted for Federico Viñe. After 69 played minutes Sakálok got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Trulsson. Béla Hudák made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Sakálok's goalkeeper Béla Hudák had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute Caspar Motter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Béla Hudák in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Béla Hudák didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sakálok could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
