The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of All Stars booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renato Candal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 56th minute of play. Despite this Renato Candal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 82 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Gio Oost came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute of the match All Stars got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jonathan Grijpstra ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gio Oost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. Erik Kruis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Uruguay players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
