Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fu Han Qiang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jon Oblak came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Tafalla slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 88th minute. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
