After some careless play in the 3City United defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernt Ånger. The 3City United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernt Ånger should have stopped the shot. Bernt Ånger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by 3City United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a little luck, 3City United's Bernt Ånger got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Galagan in the 58th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by 3City United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 3City United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Bernt Ånger, making the score, 1-3. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Galagan in the 73rd minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Bernt Ånger to make any attempt to save it. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigiusz Mlekodaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Boguslaw Marczyniec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ecuador had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
