The supporters of Ecuador booed when Swatar United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Micallef didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cem Güler fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Swatar United FC's protests and gave Cem Güler a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Swatar United FC got a freekick which was hit by Cem Güler. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Patryk Siekierski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 16th minute, Neil Micallef got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 16 played minutes Swatar United FC got a freekick which was hit by Chiratorn Wongsanam. Patryk Siekierski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Swatar United FC's Patryk Siekierski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patryk Siekierski. Patryk Siekierski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Oliver Francalanza hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patryk Siekierski. Swatar United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Patryk Siekierski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Swatar United FC's Cem Güler got a free kick in the 45th minute. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patryk Siekierski having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Salerno to make the kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Pârcălab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Mario Salerno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montes charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Montes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Ecuador played a much better game than Swatar United FC and deserved their victory. The Swatar United FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
