In the 18th match minute, Alexandrie CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Horado to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Alexandrie CF's Isaac Andrews ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Alexandrie CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Conceicão to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute Wang Guang Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 70 minutes, Wang Guang Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alexandrie CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wang Guang Chuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ignacio Horado got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Luis Andino. In the 73rd minute, Ignacio Horado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matthias Brandin. The goal made the score 2-1. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 80th minute. Alexandrie CF made a substitution. André Franco replaced Francisco Conceicão. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Alexandrie CF's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Mancebo came free, but Matthias Brandin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Matthias Brandin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th match minute, Alexandrie CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Andrews to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Alexandrie CF had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
