Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernando Abarca. That made the score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cougars FC's Fernando Abarca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Cougars FC from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Abarca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 30th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fernando Abarca saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play forced Cougars FC's goalkeeper Fernando Abarca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fernando Abarca firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Abarca having to make a save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lorenzo Aimar was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Cougars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Fernando Abarca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Abarca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 67 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lorenzo Aimar. Lorenzo Aimars short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 85 minutes Cougars FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Fernando Abarca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 86th minute of the match. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Gualterio Pio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
