Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Pascual Lamberto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Waldir Araújo got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Waldir Araújo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute. Javier Quin's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javier Quin helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes C. S. Peron y Belgrano got a freekick which was hit by Javier Quin. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Waldir Araújo came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. In the 26th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the game, Pascual Lamberto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Lamberto came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldir Araújo made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Javier Quin got his second yellow card of the match in the 40th minute. The referee ordered Javier Quin off the ground. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Waldir Araújo came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldir Araújo came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Agustín Saelices. But to his dismay, Agustín Saelices quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 68th minute of play forced C. S. Peron y Belgrano's goalkeeper Waldir Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Montay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute C. S. Peron y Belgrano were awarded a corner. Pascual Lamberto went to the cornerflag to take it. C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Pascual Lamberto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Felix Montenegro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute of play forced C. S. Peron y Belgrano's goalkeeper Waldir Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
