Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Pier Kopacz sent off a good shot on target. Ronaldo Cristi kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 18thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Peru's keeper Rolando Noboa was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Ronaldo Cristi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Pier Kopacz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Fanström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Fanström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julian Murillo scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Fanström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Cristi's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Cristi got free with Rolando Noboa in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Doffes Damer's Ronaldo Cristi in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. A sloppy throw-in by Carl Nordlander in the 46th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Cristi to make the kick off. Moises Gayoso struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Gabriel Fanström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pier Kopacz, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Gabriel Fanström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Eliseo Mina notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Doffes Damer's Gabriel Fanström. Gabriel Fanström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Doffes Damer's Inge Braa was substituted for Ronaldo Cristi. Doffes Damer's Feliks Gniech managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alonso Berganza in the 75 minute of the game. 77 minutes into the game, Inge Braa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With his leg Gabriel Fanström managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Peru's Julian Murillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Inge Braa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doffes Damer's supporters rose to their feet, but Inge Braa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. In the 89th minute, Rafael Gallo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Fanström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 92nd minute Andréas Stigsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doffes Damer were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Göran Vedholm took the corner. The corner led Doffes Damer's Inge Braa to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 96th minute Doffes Damer were awarded a corner. Göran Vedholm went to the cornerflag to take it.
