The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joaquin Prats charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Alfonso in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, ★ Lobos FC ★'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Svante Valrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after ★ Lobos FC ★'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalle Österberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by ★ Lobos FC ★'s Haroldo Alfonso. But to his dismay, Haroldo Alfonso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Svante Valrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Svante Valrot was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After 36 played minutes ★ Lobos FC ★ got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Nicola. 41 minutes into the match, Alexander Renso notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kalle Österberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to ★ Lobos FC ★ getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Misael Sigaran hit a great ball. 51 minutes into the match, ★ Lobos FC ★'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Svante Valrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them.
