In the 16th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Majadita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Federico Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Federico Reyes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 22nd minute Harry Deckberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Majadita FC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Majadita FC's Harry Deckberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Melquiades Ihazintu kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Reyes came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Majadita FC's goalkeeper Federico Reyes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Harry Deckberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Majadita FC's Federico Reyes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 68th minute of play. Enrique Charro made a great header on Majadita FC's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Federico Reyes in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Federico Reyes. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. In the 84th minute Harry Deckberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Majadita FC's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Reyes came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Esiquio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Luca Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Federico Reyes to make any attempt to save it. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
