Luiz Faria was slow to take the kick. During this time Sconvols United's players had a chance to rest. Mădălin Nicolau was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 12th minute, Honduras's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luiz Faria fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Faria kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Luiz Faria struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sconvols United. Angelo Di Salvatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 29th minute of the match. Ryo Ishizaki hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Sconvols United's Mădălin Nicolau got a free kick in the 34th minute. Luiz Faria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Sconvols United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Faria in the 37th minute. The corner led Sconvols United's Luiz Faria to fire away a dangerous shot which Lautaro Navarro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luiz Faria took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Luiz Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 69th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Di Salvatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes of play, Sconvols United's Luiz Faria made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Many of Honduras's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Honduras may have spent more time on the ball, but Sconvols United were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
