But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Luis Andino made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Myszków SSA's Antoni Teofila managed to reach the ball for a save. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chris Bosch charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chris Bosch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gisbert during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 45th minute. When Artur Spychalski came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Myszków SSA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Spychalski couldn't finish the play. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Myszków SSA's Antoni Teofila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Myszków SSA from getting a goal against them. In the 52nd minute Karol Bartelak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walery Wodaszak charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The shot was a little too simple and Antoni Teofila could save by the left post. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antoni Teofila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Myszków SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulryk Frankowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antoni Teofila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 93rd minute. After 94 played minutes Daniel Zorita rounded Myszków SSA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Myszków SSA.
