With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Julianda Rakasiwi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gökçen Safa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after İZMİR&GS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. Abram Sarmiento made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that İZMİR&GS's Gökçen Safa managed to reach the ball for a save. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Julianda Rakasiwi sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Nurkan Bayar came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julianda Rakasiwi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antônio Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Julianda Rakasiwis short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Pedro Manzanares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gökçen Safa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Carballar in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julianda Rakasiwi went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. Axel Montenegro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Gökçen Safa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Gökçen Safa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. In the 63rd minute, Colombia's Santino Seco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 66th minute, Santino Seco made a precise shot to the right of Gökçen Safa. İZMİR&GS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. If Ignacio Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Çağrı Kaim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute İZMİR&GS were awarded a corner. Nurkan Bayar went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Mehmet Bedri Ağaverdi drilling the ball in to score 2-2 behind Colombia's goalkeeper. With his leg Gökçen Safa managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Colombia's Ignacio Mastache fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julianda Rakasiwi in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Julianda Rakasiwi put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Mehmet Bedri Ağaverdi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Navarro. İZMİR&GS's Çağrı Kaim got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abram Secada hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
