Whity Pool United's attentive Gus Eslworth managed to snatch the ball when Abel Carballo made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Whity Pool United's Nicholas Downham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 19th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicholas Downham. Eliseo Noboa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Whity Pool United's Gus Eslworth. Geoff Langdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The throw-in from Hugo Ferrant in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Whity Pool United's Wesley Nicholson. A hard shot 34 in the game by Axel Tasis from a close distance when the talented Nicholas Downham managed to make a qualified save. Whity Pool United's players were relieved. Whity Pool United's Nicholas Downham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Whity Pool United from getting a goal against them. Rich Rushforth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ryan Dickner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicholas Downham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 42nd minute of play. Axel Tasis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Nicholas Downham made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 53rd minute of play forced Whity Pool United's goalkeeper Nicholas Downham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicholas Downham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Alcocer in the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 60th minute. Hugo Ferrant made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Whity Pool United's Wesley Nicholson. Whity Pool United's attentive Wesley Nicholson managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. Whity Pool United's Gus Eslworth managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Efrain Moruga in the 72 minute of the game. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Downham having to interfere. Efrain Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efrain Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Whity Pool United's Henry Soussan got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Whity Pool United's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Costa Rica had won, even though Whity Pool United had held more of the ball.
