Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Illescas made the kick off which started today's match. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a MAFFIAN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Svensson got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aron Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Wassberg's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. The corner ended in Gunde Svan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aron Dahlbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Aron Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Aron Dahlbom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aron Dahlbom having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thomas Wassberg to make the kick off. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Wassberg in the 52nd minute of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aron Dahlbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After 57 minutes MAFFIAN's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MAFFIAN's Torgny Mogren was substituted for Thomas Wassberg. In the 67th match minute, MAFFIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristoffer Nyberg to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Dennis Edström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Torgny Mogren charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torgny Mogren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in MAFFIAN's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Dahlbom came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kristoffer Nyberg made in the 81st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Östen Vennersten however managed to control. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Torgny Mogren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Torgny Mogren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dennis Edström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's Dennis Edström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, MAFFIAN's Torgny Mogren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. MAFFIAN were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
