The audience was convinced that Soltani Drid's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. The Qatar Dust Kickers fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Qatar Dust Kickers's Soltani Drid looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute, Soltani Drid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 47th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. The Venezuela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Qatar Dust Kickers were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hocine Bentaala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Hocine Bentaalas short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Soltani Drid sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Mohammed Matoub could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 72 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Qatar Dust Kickers the free kick. If Hocine Bentaala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hocine Bentaala scored 0-6 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Soltani Drid got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
