Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 3rd minute of play forced Fortin FC's goalkeeper Isaias Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 3 minutes into the match, Fortin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Isaias Hug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albino Oalo kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isaias Hug showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 13 played minutes Fortin FC got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Hitzeder. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play forced Fortin FC's goalkeeper Isaias Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Gilberto Mello tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fortin FC's Isaias Hug. Isaias Hug was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Gilberto Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Gilberto Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Pavone in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 58 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Gilberto Mello took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Douglas Tepedino charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Tepedino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Fortin FC's Douglas Tepedino got a free kick in the 62nd minute. If Gilberto Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isaias Hug made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Pavone in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Gilberto Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Pavone struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortin FC. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
