Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The crowd rose to their feet as Tony Deckbergh kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Inge Uggstedt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Inge Uggstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Bograngen getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jimmy Allbom hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inge Uggstedt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Bograngen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krister Grönlund to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Bograngen's Inge Uggstedt. Inge Uggstedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The nice shot from Krister Grönlund in the 24thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Julio Vera had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 30 played minutes Bograngen got a freekick which was hit by Frank Helström. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inge Uggstedt. Inge Uggstedt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Inge Uggstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 52 minutes in the game, Agustín Saelices fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Inge Uggstedt having to interfere. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Bograngen getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Frank Helström hit a great ball. Bograngen's Inge Uggstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Inge Uggstedt in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inge Uggstedt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Deckbergh in the 66th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inge Uggstedt having to interfere. After some careless play in the Bograngen defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inge Uggstedt. The Bograngen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inge Uggstedt should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Inge Uggstedt however easily saved by the left post. In the 89th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
